The Hang My Hotel is a wonderful little gem that we came across by accident in Hanoi. The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble to them.
Having stayed in many hotels all over Vietnam, this is one of the top two in my opinion.
The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathroom is a little cramped but very clean. The room is equipped with a fridge and a/c. There is free internet access in the main lobby , the internet speed is very good and you can spend as much time as you like on it. The staff even bring you over water! A lovely touch.. It is possible to drink the water presented to you at breakfast , it is boiled and purified. Breakfast is served to you in the breakfast room on the seventh floor. There is a choice of three options, omlette, sandwich or soup, all lovely and well presented.
The only thing that I would say about this hotel is that they need to provide more toiletries i.e toilet paper , we kept running out!!!!
Overall, a clean, well (family) run, perfectly adequate three star hotel. At 30 dollars a night or less , it's not to be missed
The hotel is located at Lan Ong St,Quarter. Easy to roam around the Old Quater and about 10minutes stroke to Hoan Kiem Lake. Around the Hotel are restaurants, food stalls and travel agency.
The staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is comfortable with free internet access in the room with Wifi free. As there are a lot of food stall and they are opened till late so a little noisy during night.
Great little hotel in the heart of Hanoi city (old quater). We booked for a standard room and when we arrived we were upgraded to the Superior room with a balcony, at no additional cost as our room was not ready. Would not reccomend paying extra for the superior room as the balcony and views are extremly basic. . We paid USD $35per night. A simple breakfast was included each morning and was quite nice. The staff were great and very helpful when we arrived early at 6am in the morning before they had opened. We ended up staying again later on in the trip.
Location is fantastic with most locations within walking distance. We reccomend the Bar 69, down the street for a few drinks and good meals with a nice balcony to soak up the atmosphere. Must visit a not for profit restaurant by the name of KOTO on Van Mieu that helps locals. Great food and roof top bar opposite the temple of literature.
